How it all began...
At a young age, my mother & siblings packed up and moved from South Carolina to Kentucky to be closer to family. While spending most of my school days in the Bluegrass State, I of course, found a never-ending love for Fast Horses, Kentucky Basketball & Good Bourbon!
I knew as a child that I wanted to be an Event Planner and entrepreneur. During my time in Kentucky, I always found myself head of the school's homecoming and prom committees where I learned the basics of event design, organization & event planning. I fell in love with the hustle and the hard work involved in putting these events together.
At the age of 18 I did my first Full Service Wedding, LITERALLY FULL SERVICE: Wedding planner, day-of coordinator, bridesmaid, floral designer, and even hair & makeup for the Bride and all Bridesmaids! Whewww - I learned very quickly how to prioritize my time and manage multiple areas of an event at once.
At the age of 21, I came back to South Carolina where my dad had been a business owner in the Myrtle Beach area for over 20 years. He gave me the opportunity to jump start my knowledge of the locals and the beauty of what the Grand Strand has to offer. My professional Event Planning career started in the Hospitality Industry where I held the position as the Event & Catering Sales Manager for over 10 Oceanfront Resorts. I was overseeing many details including linen design, timelines, and making executive business decisions for my group sales and catering departments.
In the back of my head, I always kept my goal of owning an Event Planning company. By working in different states and cultures, with a variety of event scales and amazing guidance, I took the leap to start my business over 4 years ago! It has been challenging at times but more rewarding than I could have ever hoped. I have had the honor of planning & coordinating a wide variety of events ranging from Charity Fashion Shows to Chamber of Commerce Galas, to corporate retreats, social events & of course, tons of gorgeous WEDDINGS!
