DESTINATION BEACH WEDDING | SURF GOLF AND BEACH CLUB | NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, SC

A sweet, rustic charm meets the breathtaking beachside. Meghan and Greg, Atlanta, GA natives, came to town with one venue in mind… the delicate beauty of the natural beachside. The perfect backdrop for a romantic ceremony, just steps away from a hidden gem, Surf Golf and Beach Club, nestled in the heart of North Myrtle Beach.

Inspired by soft, romantic tones of blush, the ceremony aisle was lined with whimsical mason jars kissed with lace and baby’s breath. Blush toned florals and greenery accented the handmade wooden cross, built with love by the bride’s family, standing tall as the pillar of the altar. With a natural, idyllic setting, there was a beauty in the minimal.

Once guests made their way to the reception hall at Surf Golf and Beach Club, they entered a candlelit elegant atmosphere taking pretty in pink to a heavenly level. Complete with a wood paneled ceiling and wall to wall windows the dark wood contrasted perfectly with the notes of blush and the tiered candle centerpieces. Whispers of gold added a delicate drama to the room, especially to the decadent wedding cake by Buttercream Cakes and Catering. Friends and family shagged the night away to DJ Jim Skinner from West Virginia, until it was time to send off the newlyweds with the flare of sparklers! We could not have asked for a more beautiful and loving gathering to celebrate the union of Meghan and Greg!

FUNDRAISING THROUGH FASHION | COMPASSION THROUGH FASHION SHOW 2018 | NEW DIRECTIONS SHELTERS

On Saturday, April 21st, EBS partnered with New Directions to create, dare I say it, the best fashion show on the Grand Strand. The 3rd Annual Compassion Through Fashion (CTF) at the Marriott Grande Dunes benefitted New Directions (ND) to provide food, shelter, safety, and hope for homeless men, women, children, and veterans. The ND team works to make sure that everyone who comes by the shelters can see and live up to their full potential.

Each CTF entry was required to create an exclusive, engaging and intriguing design for their models to wear as they walked the runway. But here’s the catch, all designs had to be made out of recycled materials! The participants this year used everything from ponchos to water bottles, bubble wrap and even comic book pages. Each design was truly unbelievable.

During the event, guests had the opportunity to bid on over 50 silent auction items ranging from hotel stays to concert tickets. 30 bottles of wine were donated by members of the community to be sold at the event for $12 each. Each bottle sold, paid for a homeless individual to have safety, shelter, and food for one night.

When our team first started on this venture alongside with ND, we set a goal to raise $50,000 for the shelters. By the end of the night, we had raised over $61,000 thanks to our sponsors, community members and generous donations! All of the proceeds will benefit the shelters in Myrtle Beach to help thousands of people reach their full potential.

Compassion Through Fashion gathered over 30 sponsorships, including two presenting sponsors, McDonald’s and Blue Cross Blue Shield of South Carolina. These presenting sponsors each gave $5,000 to help make the 3rd Annual CTF a success.

To make judging our lovely participants fair, our team found 5 local celebrity judges to help us choose the winners. We had the pleasure of welcoming to the show the beautiful Meghan Miller of WBTW News13, the charming Thomas Davis of Collectors Café & Gallery, the charismatic Carl Kerridge of Carl Kerridge Photography, the infatuating Joujou Safa of Bijuju, and the elegant Kalina Smith of RK Consignments and Interiors, Inc.

Our 5 judges had their work cut out for them with our 17 amazing participants. Each participant offered a unique and entrancing design as they strutted down the runway to custom tunes played by our guest DJ Matt Hayward. Next year, the CTF team wants to have over 30 participants! We think we can do it!

Overall, we had such a blast planning this event. It was a huge success and we already can’t wait until the 4th Annual Compassion Through Fashion.

SUMMER DESTINATION WEDDING | DOUBLETREE RESORT BY HILTON | MYRTLE BEACH, SC

It is times like this dream wedding, that make you truly love what you do! The Sun News so sweetly created a contest for lovely couples with the hopes of having their dream wedding right here in beautiful Myrtle Beach. With the help of some local Fairy God-Vendors, one lucky couple’s wish was granted! With only 30 days til the wedding day it was MAJOR crunch time - Invitations had to be designed and mailed, dresses and suits to be chosen and fitted for, decor, and so much more.

A heart-touching story, the groom saved the lives of two girls whose car ran off a bridge and into a body of water. After a life-changing moment they quickly became best friends of the couple. To show their love and appreciation, the two girls submitted a video sharing their unique tale. It was a no brainer as to who should win this dream wedding giveaway, Christy & DJ!

Some of the best vendors in town donated their services to create this once in a lifetime experience for a more than deserving couple. Their love for the natural outdoors lead the way to designing the wedding of their dreams. Blended bright, summer arrangements with a rustic wilderness of earthy moss, wood centerpieces, and accents of deer antlers tying the whole setting together. Guests shared sweet notes and best wishes for the couple by signing a large jenga set, hand-made by the groom himself! After enjoying a decadent raw bar and the most savory carving stations, family and friends danced to the best of times with tunes spinned by DJ Stephen Craig. Wishing the couple a final goodbye, all joined in a sparkler send-off!

Thanks to the help of each and every vendor, these lovely newlyweds began their lives together with a dream come true!

MARGARET & JOHN | 21 MAIN EVENTS AT NORTH BEACH | NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, SC | EVENTS BY SANANA

When beautiful elegance meets handsome sophistication! The union of Maggie and John kicked off our 2018 wedding season. Keeping the exchanging of vows close to the heart, the sweet couple opted for the most intimate of ceremonies at the Sea Captain’s House with only close family to witness.

A party fit for the ages, the reception was hosted at 21 Main Events at North Beach, an elegant venue with class and finesse. The tables were dressed in black satin linen with pearly white napkins to accent each seat. Magnolia leaves were a sentimental touch to the glowing bride, so each centerpiece was designed with enchanting gold candle sticks and a bed of deep green magnolia leaves. It was a minimal, elegant and timeless black tie soirée fit for a king.

After an exquisite plated dinner served by the most professional staff of 21 Main, family and guests shared a toast over bubbly and a decadent dessert bar from Buttercream Cakery. Then it was time to dance! Not a guest kept their seat til it was time to say goodnight. Such a lively party, it was the perfect way to start this years wedding season!

Pour le Désire do Mon Coeur | For My Heart’s Desire | EBS Guide to Valentine’s Day

One of the hardest things to do on Valentine’s Day is pick the perfect gift and plan the perfect date! We are here to help you plan a loving and thoughtful day for you and your sweetheart from gift ideas to romantic nights, we have you covered!

A night out is always lovely, but nothing brings a couple closer than making a home-cooked meal together. More than a casual night at home, make it a real date experience! The most private dining you could have. Dress up, open a bottle of your favorite wine, and gentleman don’t forget the flowers! Add some adventure and create a menu out of your culinary comfort zone. If you want to incorporate mystery to your Valentine’s festivity, candles and flower petals to illuminate the way to your private Bistro J’adore are always a nice touch. SWOON! Then sit down to a table decorated with candle-lit love and set with romantic detail.

Make it a whole day! Start with breakfast in bed finished with a hand-made legend and map revealing a romantic scavenger hunt of all the places special to each of you. From the first date spot to where you first kissed to the moment you realized, I love you. Each location to be marked with a small gift and a note revealing all the things you love about your paramour. Finished up with a night cap at home illuminated with candles and for the the nights end, a Wishing Jar. Designed with love, each of you write out a wish for your life together and put it in the jar. Keep the tradition for every milestone and in a few years, open it together.

Alright friends, this may take some planning and sneaking to keep it a secret! Surprise your loved one with a collage of loving sticky notes designed to spell “I LOVE YOU” on their powder room mirror. And when they peer back through the door, breakfast in bed will be waiting for the two of you. What a way to start the day! If you want to keep the fun going, for dinner, instead of going out, each of you order a meal to be delivered with food you think your significant other would love most. Let’s see who knows who best!

We could keep going with thoughtful gifts and date ideas, but lets talk about setting the perfect table!

I bet red and roses are the first thing to come to your mind, but remember, the beautiful plethora of colors and flowers is endless. Do not be afraid to try something he or she will not expect. Minimalism, in fact, with soft whispers of romance is something to think about. Instead of roses, incorporate their favorite flowers. Keeping the surrounding decor subtle and soft. Greenery is often over-looked, but it is so beautiful. Center your table with greenery and illuminate the table with either tall, delicate candle sticks and/or small votive tea lights.

Lets add elegance with a full place setting. In a clockwise direction you will start with the following :: wine and water glasses, dinner spoon, knife, dinner fork, charger then dinner plates with the napkin placed sweetly on top. Soft blush napkins are an amorous touch to detail your private table. Ending with the dessert spoon and dessert fork. He or she will not wait to sit down!

Now you have all you need to plan the most romantic of days to show your loved one just how special they are!

Have a Happy Valentine’s Day sweethearts! <3 XOXO

DUSTIN & ARIN | THE PEANUT WAREHOUSE | CONWAY, SC | EVENTS BY SANTANA

Southern charm meets a classic beauty! When I first met Dustin and Arin, I could feel the timeless love shared between these two. This sweet couple dreamt of a whimsical, romantic aesthetic with hints of a beautifully southern, rustic grace. The Peanut Warehouse in Conway, South Carolina had all of that and more. From the twinkling, idyllic lights illuminating the all-wood ceiling to the natural lumber making up the entire venue, swoon!

To keep with the simple, yet elevated beauty of this hidden gem, we let the venue shine with soft, pale grey and blue colored linen. To accentuate each table we placed carved log centerpieces, dressed with a blend of burlap and hand-painted wine bottles and single hydrangeas. It was elegance in the simplest form. The altar was adorned with delicate white draping loosely tied on each side with a blend of burlap, white and pale blue ribbon. It sat perfectly under the chandelier lining the aisle center.

ART Catering served a delicious feast buffet style before the guests danced the night away with DJ Ronnie. And how about that sweetly southern cake from Sky Spicer? The florals and burlap were the perfect notes to dress that decadent dessert! When the magical night had to come to an end, the bride and groom retired to one of the charming rooms at Cypress Inn Bed & Breakfast. This wedding was certainly one to be remembered!

Georgetown County Chamber of Commerce100 Years | Pawleys Island, SC | EVENTS BY SANTANA

The voice of businesses and the county’s biggest promoter of member success deserves a Gala worthy of 100 years of dedicated service to the Georgetown community. What an honor it was to coordinate both the 100th birthday and the end of year Gala for the Georgetown County Chamber of Commerce.

To kick off such a momentous occasion we opted for a birthday celebration that commemorated some of the most iconic items that have also withstood the tests of 100 years time! The Hammock Shops porch was the perfect backdrop accompanied by uplighting provided by GlobalTruth Entertainment that took the party to another level. We showcased an menu offering some Low Country favorites - chicken and waffles, fried green tomatoes with pimento Cheese, shrimp & grits and egg rolls :: Although, it was the CheerWine and MoonPie bar that stole the show!

Also celebrating 100 years is the famous Chuck Taylor shoe which quickly became the theme for our centerpieces & floral arrangements! That’s right, we used the timeless street shoe to decorate each table! It was a great turn out, but how could it not be with The Reggie Sullivan Band playing in the courtyard gazebo. The celebration did not end here!

Sticking closely to the time of 100 years ago, we themed the Chamber’s premier event around the Roaring 20s! All the members were invited to a Roaring Night celebrating and commemorating 100 years of service. A seating lounge fit for the times was brought in by EventWorks while the most charming saxophone soloist entertained the prohibited cocktail hour. We even created a Georgetown Chamber memorabilia room with important keepsakes and tokens from their esteemed past. This end of the year bash and awards ceremony shined with black silk linen and topped with the most beautiful arrangements of white feathers and pearls. After a delicious dinner provided by Pawleys Plantation, they blew out the birthday candles of a custom gold “G” cake donated by Pawleys Island Bakery. The roaring night ended with a toast and vintage coupes full of sparkling champagne!

Happy 100 years Georgetown County Chamber of Commerce! Cheers to 100 more!
