Myrtle Beach Wedding

LAUREN & JAMIE | PEANUT WAREHOUSE, CONWAY, SC

This sweet, down-to-earth wedding was a wild one to remember! Lauren and Jamie both work in the restaurant/bar industry so I knew this wedding would be one heck of a party, and boy was I right! My fiancé and I frequent their work place often so I was honored when they asked me to assist with their big day!

They are both local to the Myrtle Beach area so to host the festivities at Conway’s historical, Peanut Warehouse, was a perfect fit.

This blonde beauty was such a doll to work with and has a heart of gold. She asked her grandmother to be one of her bridesmaids and it was one of the sweetest things I’ve seen at a wedding! Lauren also did a first look with her daddy, who is as darling as she is!

The groom, Jamie, created the idea to give guests baby succulents as wedding favors. He even potted them all in small terra cotta pots and wrapped them with a colorful trim to match the wedding colors. We displayed them on an old, rusty ladder which brought the entire theme together! We paired this with a sweet sign stating “Let Love Grow”!

The couple danced on the clouds, shared lots of romantic kisses, and danced the night away!

We wish you all the luck & love!!

XOXO - Santana + EBS Team

DOUG & NICOLA | MYRTLE BEACH PROPOSAL

We recently had the pleasure of working with our new favorite Canadians to plan the most perfect beach proposal in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina! Doug, Canada Coast Guard, reached out to EVENTS BY SANTANA to coordinate a picnic style beach proposal while he and his girlfriend, Nicola, visited the states for vacation.

We partnered with Barefoot Wedded Bliss to create the intimate setup with cozy blankets and throw pillows, stringed cafe lights, and a view of the Atlantic Ocean during sunset that was to die for! Strong Waters Craft Cocktails & Kitchen whipped up the most delectable charcuterie board that we paired with a bottle of champagne and personalized champagne flutes for the newly engaged couple!

We wish you all the best for luck and love forever, Nicola & Doug! Hope to see you back in Myrtle Beach for your wedding!

XOXO

ROMANCE MEETS EDGE STYLED SHOOT | UPPER MILL PLANTATION | CONWAY, SC

This badass styled shoot is what my #bossbabe dreams are made of! If you know the EBS style, it’s very edgy, full of rich tones and lots of BLACK!! Styled shoots are such a fun way for industry vendors to get together and be extremely unique and showcase their most creative work - And that’s exactly what happened here!

Royal Decor brought their magic with the fabulous crescent shaped bridal bouquet. I’m not even a lover of pink shades but the uniqueness of this bouquet made it so stunning and romantic!

The motorcycle and leather jacket were the perfect mix to take this shoot from southern and romantic to sexy and adventurous!

And not to mention, a PINK VEIL from Little White Dress, I mean.. COME ON! GORGG!

The Upper Mill Plantation is an absolutely stunning, southern venue to get married at. It even includes a bridal suite in addition to hundreds of picturesque spots! As a Conway & Myrtle Beach Wedding Planner, this venue is a dream to work at!

I could go on and on about how each amazing vendor came to life and brought their badass side out to play but I’ll just let you see it for yourself!!

XOXO

WEDDING PROPOSAL & GENDER REVEAL | MYRTLE BEACH, SC

Brooke and Chaz have been together for almost 10 years and are expecting their 4th child. They frequently visit Myrtle Beach with their family so what better way to find out the sex of their newest bundle of joy than to do a gender reveal in the heart of Myrtle Beach.

They traveled from Columbia, SC with their family to do the baby gender reveal at the SkyWheel Myrtle Beach. Brooke, Chaz & family enjoyed dinner at Riptydz then made their way to the SkyWheel which flashed lights of pink & blue. The couple already has 3 beautiful girls, so they were hoping for the wheel to stop on blue to reveal a baby boy was on the way…. then…… PINK! IT’S A GIRL!!!!

After the reveal of their newest baby girl, Mommy-to-be took a ride on the wheel with her daughters where she would await for a sweet message from Chaz.

Chaz had coordinated with us a wedding proposal in Myrtle Beach to make this magical vacation extra special. As Brooke and her girls rode the Skywheel, going round and round, we began lighting up lanterns to spell out “BROOKE, WILL YOU MARRY ME?”

DANA & JOE'S BEACH HOUSE WEDDING | MURRELLS INLET, SC | EVENTS BY SANTANA

I have known Dana & Joe for many years, even before they were a “thing”. So once the 2 of them started dating I was beyond thrilled that such great, kind people found one another. Even more thrilled when they got engaged and asked me to be their wedding planner for the beautiful beach wedding in Murrells Inlet, SC.

They chose a stunning blue oceanfront home to host their wedding weekend of festivities. The beach was in their backyard and the perfect setting for the ceremony followed by a fun, cocktail style reception on the pool deck. Dave Bryant and his team of designers created floral arrangements with pops of dusty blue and burgundy to hug the arbor and float in the pool.

Inlet Affairs catered unique stations with themes such as Asian, Mexican, and Southern foods including an oyster bar! They also brought in a vintage wooden boat to house some of the alcoholic beverages. Pink Pineapple Cakes created a custom 3-tiered red velvet cake, my favorite!

Dana & Joe were surrounded by 75 of their closest friends and family to really make this day feel so intimate and special. They ended the night dancing and jump-roping to tunes from DJ Chad Smith, of Wicka Productions.

Mr. & Mrs. Keip, I wish you all the best of luck & love forever. Thank you for having EBS a part of your special day!

XOXO

SUMMER DESTINATION WEDDING | DOUBLETREE RESORT BY HILTON | MYRTLE BEACH, SC

It is times like this dream wedding, that make you truly love what you do! The Sun News so sweetly created a contest for lovely couples with the hopes of having their dream wedding right here in beautiful Myrtle Beach. With the help of some local Fairy God-Vendors, one lucky couple’s wish was granted! With only 30 days til the wedding day it was MAJOR crunch time - Invitations had to be designed and mailed, dresses and suits to be chosen and fitted for, decor, and so much more.

A heart-touching story, the groom saved the lives of two girls whose car ran off a bridge and into a body of water. After a life-changing moment they quickly became best friends of the couple. To show their love and appreciation, the two girls submitted a video sharing their unique tale. It was a no brainer as to who should win this dream wedding giveaway, Christy & DJ!

Some of the best vendors in town donated their services to create this once in a lifetime experience for a more than deserving couple. Their love for the natural outdoors lead the way to designing the wedding of their dreams. Blended bright, summer arrangements with a rustic wilderness of earthy moss, wood centerpieces, and accents of deer antlers tying the whole setting together. Guests shared sweet notes and best wishes for the couple by signing a large jenga set, hand-made by the groom himself! After enjoying a decadent raw bar and the most savory carving stations, family and friends danced to the best of times with tunes spinned by DJ Stephen Craig. Wishing the couple a final goodbye, all joined in a sparkler send-off!

Thanks to the help of each and every vendor, these lovely newlyweds began their lives together with a dream come true!

xoxo,

You’re Getting Married! | What Now?

The day has come, you’re engaged! The wonderful news has made it from family to friends to colleagues to that sweet clerk at the grocery store. Now that the euphoric bliss of being engaged is turning to a romantic whisper it is time to talk about planning your wedding! I know it can be intimidating to take those steps from just daydreaming about this once-in-a-lifetime experience to actual “planning”, so first, take a breather! Before you jump into the exciting world of never-ending choices and decision making, take a week or two to really enjoy and savor this time with your soon-to-be. Now let's do this!

Choosing the Wedding Date |

A lot of different aspects can be considered when choosing the perfect day to marry your special someone. There is the sentimental dates, choosing a day filled with love and meaning. The day you two went steady or the day of your first date together or maybe the day he or she first said “I love you!” Also consider your favorite season. If wanting an outdoor ceremony and reception, maybe choosing a beautiful Spring day or the first cool days of Fall will be the best starting place. Narrowing the day down even more, your budget will help you to determine the day of the week and even the months in the year. Opting for the classic weekend wedding in a high-volume season may steepen your budget, especially on a Saturday, but the weekend can be more optimal for your guests with work and children in school. Also, the availability of that dreamy venue you’ve had your eye on may tell you all you need to know.

Choosing the Venue |

There are certain traditions that can be forgone, the cutting of the cake, even the tossing of the bouquet, but a venue? A venue is the one thing you cannot skip. For some, it can be the most difficult of decisions. Consult with a wedding planner. An established planner is familiar with local spaces, as well as the capabilities each dreamy venue has and does not have. After clearly explaining your desired vision, your planner can point you in the direction of venues that compliment your elegant aesthetic. If you want a natural, rustic diamond in the ruff, you will not find that in an elegant ballroom. Consider the number of guests and the kind of experience you want your loved ones to have. You do not want to overcrowd or even under-crowd your venue. If holding a destination wedding, keep in mind the proximity of your guest accommodations to the venue.

Everyone could use that extra help! Choosing Your Wedding Planner |

Many question the need to devote a small part of your wedding budget on outside coordination, but let me tell you, the actual experience of attending your wedding is not something you want to miss! Having a coordinator ensures the most seamless, blissful day without the stress of wondering if the cake arrived or if your seating chart and table numbers are displayed correctly.  Set-up to break-down, your planner is behind the scenes handling any small obstacle that may arise throughout the day and immediately resolve them in a flawless manner. When it comes to a full days’ timeline, a planner can keep every memory-making activity in a flowing rhythm, leaving you to mingle and enjoy your guests.

Planning your wedding can be a demanding process therefore you want to work with someone that you trust and that fits you and your soon-to-be’s personality. He or she will be with you every step of the way to logistically detail each component, from budgeting and floorplans to scheduling tastings and fittings, ensuring no gem is left unturned.

Choosing Your Key Vendors |

The #EBS rule of thumb | Venue, Entertainment, Photographer!

With the endless variety of lovely vendors there are three that must be considered first and foremost. You want to lock in your desired wedding date with your dreamy venue as soon as possible. While a baker or florist can book multiple events in one day, a venue can book one and only one. The same is true with your photographer and choice of entertainment. Standardly booked as single individuals, they cannot be in more than one place on a given day, so it is crucial to reserve their attendance and services promptly.

We cannot reveal all of our secrets, but you now have the #EBS guide to get you started and experience a wedding of creative ideas, unique designs and flawless execution!

XOXO,
